4 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara Trip

DAY 1 : Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Dades Gorges

Departure from your hotel in Marrakech at 8 am passing by the Tichka pass (2260m), then we take the road that leads to Ait Ben Haddou through the Berber villages of the Atlas.Arrived in the ksar of Ait ben haddou stroll in the Lanes downhill and visit of the most beautiful fortified village of the region, classified in the patrimony of the UNESCO.Lunch in Ouarzazate. Then we take the road in direction of Skoura and Kalaa M’gouna the city of the roses, crossing small villages, Then we take the track that leads us to the Gorges du Dadès in Boulmane.Dinner and night in the Gorges in the guest house.

DAY 2 : Dades Gorges - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga

Departure to Tineghir and visit the Todra Gorges and the green gardens without forgetting the meeting with the nomads and their herds of goats. We then leave for Merzouga, taking the road to Erfoud famous for its fossilized marbles; We pass by Rissani ancient capital of Tafilalet and we go by the track to the desert of Merzouga. Arrived at the foot of the dunes, we leave on camel back (1 hour) for the bivouac located in the middle of Erg Chebbi. Sunset, mint tea, dinner, entertainment and night under the tent or under the stars.

DAY 3 : Merzouga - Tazzarine - draa valley - Agdz

Departure from the dunes of Merzouga towards Tazzarine, through the beautiful desert and mountainous landscapes, Oasis, kasbah to the valley of Drâa passing by N’kob and Tansikht. Descent towards the wadi Drâa verdant Agdz, crossing the villages Of ocher earth. Dinner and overnight stay in Agdz .

DAY 4 : Agdz - Ouarzazate - Taourirt Kasbah - Marrakech

After a good breakfast, return to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and in front of the site of the Kasbah of Tifoultout (5km from Ouarzazate), former residence of Pacha Glaoui whose heir Medhi Glaoui, writer, currently lives in Paris.It is the most recent Kasbah in the vicinity, it is not always open to the visit, but the surroundings are magnificent, Take the main road to Marrakech, arrival at your hotel in the late afternoon.
